The United States Toy Association announced on August 28 that it confirmed the cancellation of this year's Dallas Toy Fair. The fall event was originally scheduled to be held at the Dallas Market Center from October 6th to 8th. In addition, the association also issued an announcement that the New York Toy Fair originally scheduled to be postponed in February next year. Steve Pasierb, chairman of the association, said that the Toy of the Year (TOTY) and Hall of Fame events will be held online, and the Association of Colleagues plans to hold a Spring Festival toy exhibition to showcase certain types of toy products. The association plans to hold a brand new New York Toy Fair in the expanded Javits Center in February 2022. The dates for the next Dallas Toy Fair and New York Toy Fair will be officially announced this month.
In addition, as of press date, neither the Hong Kong Toy Fair in 2021 nor the Nuremberg International Toy Fair in Germany have announced any postponements.
